about

Crime rates on the rise and there's nothing we can do
It doesn't look much like the city that we once knew
Another gunshot right out my front door
It's a city wide decline that we can't ignore
And the peaceful streets where we all once grew up
Are now riddled with gangs guns and drugs
I see despair down every street
And on the face of everyone I meet

Let the south side sirens song me to sleep
A gun fire lullaby from the streets
Whoa just another dead end night

If the city decays we won't retreat
We don't know the meaning of the word defeat

Will everything be alright

Whoa just another dead end night

The arteries of the heartland are clogged with filth
It's not what you'd expect from the bible belt
The wholesome facade will evaporate
To reveal reality of Midwestern waste
When the red dust settles then we'll see
The actual condition of our city
No jobs no hope and it's all turned to shit
At times it seems there's no escaping it.

Let the south side sirens song me to sleep
A gun fire lullaby from the streets
Whoa just another dead end night

If the city decays we won't retreat
We don't know the meaning of the word defeat

Will everything be alright

Whoa just another dead end night

I just don't feel quite like myself
I wake up everyday to this living hell
If it can't be fixed lets burn it down
That would be an improvement to this town
I feel like a slave to this complacency
Confined in the decline of this city
Make the best of the worst while we're here
But we won't go on living in fear

Dead end nights blood shot eyes
I don't give a fuck if I live or I die

Just another dead end night
